Hi, my name is Georgie Furst and I am a dedicated all round creative type.

I'm passionate about art, design and technology and spend most of my waking hours finding ways to satisfy my hunger for creative inspiration. By day, I'm a graphic designer for print and web. At night I wield a paintbrush at both the traditional and digital canvas. Currently I'm experimenting with the meeting of art and technology via an MA in Digital Media Arts at Brighton University. Mostly I aim for clarity, simplicity and elegance.


BACKGROUND INFO

Since graduating in 2000 and subsequently travelling I found myself working in the wine industry as an independent wine merchant in East Sussex. I was the internet 'geek girl' setting up and successfully running an ecommerce facility alongside a retail presence. In 2008 I subsequently set up an English wine tour company, providing wine tours to vineyards across the south east of England.

During this time I also became the very proud mum of two gorgeous boys who never fail to inspire, make me laugh and remind me not to take myself too seriously.

However, whilst I met some wonderful characters and winemakers along the way, drank some world class wine and visited some beautiful vineyards, the creative embers have been impossible to dampen. With painting commissions, a handful of clients and now teaching Photoshop part-time, I made the decision to pursue my creative career full time.

This website is my digital home and portfolio to document my journey of creative development. I am available for freelance projects so do get in touch.
